Nursery

Welcome to the nursery section of Manorfield Infant and Nursery school’s website. We have lots of fun in the nursery everyday of the week this page will tell you some of the things we have been getting up to or will be getting up to very soon.

As well as offering 78 part time places for children aged 3 and 4 years during term time we also offer a limited number of early education and care places for 2 year olds.  Places within this provision are available for families in receipt of the Free Early Education and Care grant targeted at 2 year olds.

The unit is also able to offer paid for flexible services in the form of wrap round care and education between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.30 pm daily during term time.  For more information on the cost of this provision please contact the school’s business support team on 01924 326718.

Manorfield Infant and Nursery school delivers the Early Years Foundation Stage and offers a broad, balanced, relevant creative curriculum which supports children to achieve their full potential. The curriculum is delivered through a range of child and adult led activities with plenty of time for child directed learning. Each child has their own key person.  Each child has their own profile book which is completed by the nursery team and stays with the child until they leave year 2. Please look in the Nursery Handbook, nursery newsletters and Foundation Stage Policy for more information.

The well qualified team foster a disposition to learning for life. Staff provide opportunities to learn in a secure and caring environment both inside and out. We aim to help our children to develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, morally and socially and celebrate their successes. When we work together, we learn from each other, thrive and succeed. Parents are always welcome in school and we encourage active involvement in community activity.

Within the nursery setting children are exposed to a number learning experiences which are delivered as units of work.
